Cherry Crayton
Bio
Cherry Crayton joined North Carolina State University’s College of Education as its director of marketing and communication in January 2017. In her role, Crayton is responsible for partnering with others in the College of Education and at NC State to develop and implement a marketing and communication strategy that enhances the college’s brand awareness and brand identity. Previously, she worked for over 12 years as a content strategist, digital strategist, writer, and editor at Duke University, Campbell University, UNC-Chapel Hill, and the NC State Alumni Association, where she served as a writer and editor with the alumni magazine from 2006 to 2011. Crayton has won over two-dozen awards for her work in writing, editing, and marketing and communication, including six national CASE Circle of Excellence Awards — the highest award honors for communication and marketing professionals in higher education.
