The Media and Educational Technology Resource Center (METRC) provides resources and services to facilitate the preparation of professional educators, counselors and administrators at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and to model an exemplary school library media center. Collections and services include books, textbooks, reserves, kits, equipment, technology, and instruction to support these resources. Check our more information at http://ncsucedmetrc.weebly.com/
Affiliated with NCSU Libraries, the METRC collection can be searched through the NCSU Libraries online catalog. The Media Center serves as a tripsaver (place to pick up books requested online) location as well.
All resources are available for checkout to NCSU students, faculty, or staff except for equipment which is limited to College of Education and Department of Psychology students, faculty, and staff. After hours, books may be returned to D.H. Hill; however, equipment should always be returned to 400 Poe Hall. To see what materials are available, visit our Equipment page.
Does the METRC have ebooks/online books?
YES! If you are a CED student, you can use your mobile device/eReader or computer to check out books and read online. Click here or on the OverDrive icon to get started. Any student at NCSU can also read ebooks on MackinVIA. Contact a METRC librarian if you need the username and password.
