After completion of your professional education program you must apply for your license through the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction.
This process is completed through the NCDPI Online Licensure System.
Required Documents for Applying for Licensure
Before you can apply for your license, you will need the following documents:
- Official degree-posted transcript from NC State
- Official transcripts from undergrad schools or official transcripts from other colleges
- Cannot be internet print out
- Contact other institutions for transcript or check with Registration and Records for a copy
- Completed LEA Certificate of Capacity (must also be uploaded into SAGE)
- PDFs of Test scores – Praxis II or NCFR and NCGC
- PDF of edTPA score report
- PDF of Disclosure Statement and court documentation if needed for background check.
- Work authorization documents, if needed
