Bio

Daniel West, Ph.D. is the Associate Director of Research and Evaluation focused on employee development at the Belk Center. His research focuses on employee engagement and professional development, both internally at the Belk Center and at external partner institutions and organizations. He earned his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, Policy, and Human Development from North Carolina State University. His Master’s degree is in Higher Education Administration and Leadership from the University of North Florida, and his Bachelor’s degree is in Political Science/Pre-Law from John Brown University. His previous experience includes working in student services, disabilities services, and athletics in the community college system as well as the outdoor education, teambuilding, and challenge course industry.
