Bio

Dr. Maja Stojanović is an Assistant Professor of Adult and Lifelong Education with a specific focus on Training and Development in the Department of Educational Leadership, Policy, and Human Development at North Carolina State University. She holds a PhD in Leadership and Human Resource Development from Louisiana State University. Her teaching and research focus on adult learning in higher education, professional, and organizational contexts, with particular emphasis on career-related learning, career identity development, and authenticity in adult and workplace education.

Her scholarship explores how adults construct professional identities, develop multilingual and intercultural skills, and engage in continuous learning across diverse settings. Dr. Stojanović is keenly interested in how multilingualism shapes adults’ career experiences and sense of identity in globalized work environments. She has presented at national and international conferences and published peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters on these topics. She is also co-editor of the book Global Citizenship for Adult Education: Advancing Critical Literacies for Equity and Social Justice.

Dr. Stojanović’s teaching focuses on program planning, instructional design, and qualitative research methods. She is committed to bridging research and practice by developing programs and professional development initiatives that support educators, trainers, and organizational leaders in fostering meaningful learning experiences for adults.
