PD 724 – Developing Cultural Competence Co-curricular Student Certificate offered by NC State Global Training Initiative

An event every week that begins at 8:00 pm on Thursday, repeating until March 20, 2023
This co-curricular student certificate program aims to help participants identify their own cultural preferences and equip them with the tools to understand the preferences of others. Participating in this program will help participants increase their cultural awareness, and develop skills and strategies for working effectively across cultural differences. This program is also an opportunity to explore the world from home by connecting with people around the world.
The average time requirement of the program is 12 hours in total over the 4-week period. This means you are expected to join four 90-minute live facilitated sessions via Zoom (6 hours) and complete weekly self-paced lessons and assignments (6+ hours). Students can choose from one of the following sessions:
February 2023 Sessions:
Thursdays 2/2, 2/9, 2/16, and 2/23 from 8:00 – 9:30 PM (Register for PD 724 001 in SAGE)
March/April 2023 Sessions:
Mondays 3/20, 2/27, 4/3, and 4/10 from 8:00 – 9:30 PM (Register for PD 724 002 in SAGE)
Tuesdays 3/21, 3/28, 4,4, and 4/11 from 9:00 – 10:30 AM (Register for PD 724 003 in SAGE)
Wednesdays 3/22, 3/29, 4/5, and 4/12 from 9:00 – 10:30 AM (Register for PD 724 004 in SAGE)
