The program offers Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral Programs as well as service courses in science and college teaching. The Ph.D. Program in Science Education is the only one offered in North Carolina. The science education faculty are actively involved in research at the state, national and international level and committed to bringing this work to the teaching of future science educators. Our program supports both K-16 classroom teaching and informal science education in museums, zoos, and other settings. We provide degree programs and service to the state through special classes, seminars, workshops, consulting and participation on college and university committees.
