PD 724 – Developing Cultural Competence Co-curricular Student Certificate offered by NC State Global Training Initiative

The Developing Cultural Competence (DCC) program aims to improve students’ cultural competence and cross-cultural awareness by facilitating virtual exchanges among participants.

The virtual training program consists of self-paced individual learning modules and four 90-minute facilitated meetings where NC State students join students from partner institutions across the world in facilitated online discussions, cultural exchanges and apply the knowledge and skills they learned in the modules.

You must register for the program directly on the Global Training Initiative website (go.ncsu.edu/gti-dcc) by their priority deadline (September 24th) for October Sessions, along with registering for the PGU in SAGE (PD 724).

The College of Education at NC State University is sponsoring the $100 Program Fee for eligible students who wish to participate. Choose “Sponsor-Pay” for the payment type on the application form and “atjonas@ncsu.edu” for your contact.

Priority registration is Sept 24 for October sessions:

October Wednesdays 9:00 AM: October 6, 13, 20 and 27
October Thursdays 8:00 PM: October 7, 14, 21 and 28
October Fridays 9:00 AM: October 8, 15, 22 and 29

As part of the sponsorship, students will be contacted by the Global Programs office to give us feedback regarding the program.
