PD 6779 – Dining with Democracy – Facilitation Training

February 12 | 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

“Dining with Democracy is a free event that invites people from different backgrounds and perspectives to come together and engage in facilitated discussions of policy issues over dinner. This event is hosted in partnership with the College of Education, Student Leadership and Engagement, and Pack the Polls. This year, Dining with Democracy will be held on Monday, February 19, 2024, in the Coastal Ballroom at Talley Student Union from 6:00-8:00pm. This event has been a great success on our campus for many years, but we need your help in facilitating these conversations!

Those who attend Dining with Democracy are eligible for PGU credit. You can earn additional credits for attending the facilitation training and facilitating during the event. Facilitators will be responsible for working with a table of 6-8 participants. Your job will be to guide people through a discussion activity and help make sure that everyone is heard. Facilitators must go through a short training to be eligible. There will be two opportunities to attend facilitation training:
