Why NC State?
I feel that education opens doors to numerous opportunities. I personally plan to use my degree to better serve my consulting clients and to teach others how to better and more effectively present data.
One insight gained so far…
This is a quote that I was introduced to recently, and I think it speaks volumes: “Understand this if you understand nothing: it is a powerful thing to be seen” ― Akwaeke Emez
I first stepped on NC State’s campus as a freshman in 1993. I am amazed at the growth the university has made in its steps towards inclusivity, down to something as simple as choosing to use your “preferred name” on most documentation. When you feel seen, you feel appreciated and valued – anyone who feels valued is going to experience some level of success.
