Award selections for the 2023-2024 funding year have been made.
The review of departmental applications for 2024-2025 have begun in March and will continue until all scholarships have been awarded. For scholarship consideration, contact the Program Coordinator in your department.

Beatrice and Roy Anderson Education Fund
Provides a scholarship(s) to Graduate student(s) majoring in Counselor Education who demonstrate a record of outstanding academic achievement and possess personal qualities of empathy and compassion in interpersonal relations.

Norman Anderson and J. Conrad Glass, Jr. Fellowship
Provides one scholarship to a Graduate student enrolled in Adult and Higher Education and one scholarship to a Graduate student enrolled in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Education.

Edgar J. and Ethel B. Boone Adult and Community College Leadership Award Endowment
Provides awards for doctoral students at the College of Education who are specializing in Adult and Community College Education or Higher Education to support professional and scholarly development, such as to give presentations and scholarly papers at conferences, provide materials for support of their doctoral work, and expenses related to dissertation research.

Kimberly F. Crews Memorial Endowment
Provides one scholarship for a first year Graduate student and one scholarship for a second year Graduate student majoring in Counselor Education. This endowment is awarded based upon your financial need, academic excellence, leadership, and extracurricular achievements.

Moshakos Family Graduate Fellowship
Provides $2,000 annually to Graduate students enrolled in or accepted to a master’s degree program in Graduate Teacher Education curriculum in the College of Education. Recipient must be a practicing classroom teacher employed in the Wake County Public School System.

John and Nell Penick Fellowship in Science Education
The John and Nell Penick Fellowship is intended to benefit graduate students in science education who have completed at least 20 semester hours of course work for a doctoral degree and have indicated intent to seek a post-secondary position as a science teacher-educator and researcher. Students may apply directly or may be recommended by a faculty member. Each candidate must submit a research proposal (suggest 1500 words or less) for consideration.

The Margaret and Bobby Raynor Graduate Support Award is an award to support a graduate student in programs that prepare principals to serve throughout North Carolina.

Agnes and Garfield Stiff Scholarship
Provides $500-$1,000 awards for Graduate students in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Education Department in the College of Education. Recipients must have presentations that have been accepted at a regularly scheduled conference, symposium or workshop sponsored by a national, regional or state professional organization, representing the disciplines in the Department. Travel awards are either for fall semester or spring semester and are not renewable.

Wilcox-Hodnett Doctoral Fellowships
The Wilcox-Hodnett Fellowship is for doctoral students in the EdD in Educational Leadership Program and students in the Educational Evaluation and Policy Analysis (EEPA) program are eligible if their dissertation will focus on K-12 leadership/administration/policy.
