PD6796 – Population Education: Global Learning and Sustainability

February 3 | 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

In this interactive session, participants will explore how human populations change over time and what those changes mean for communities and the planet. Hands-on investigations will be modeled to investigate global population trends, compare different countries’ population patterns, and examine sustainability connected to population change. Participants who complete the program will have access to a great series of tested lessons from the national Population Education curriculum to teach about human population growth and ecology. The workshop is open to any preservice teacher, but the lessons are particularly relevant for social studies and science teachers. Come have fun, learn new strategies, and gain lots of great ideas for your instruction.
