Equality as a Balance: Critical language and activities to promote deep understanding of equality (K-5)
Why is the equal sign considered ‘the soul of mathematics?’ Equality is a crucial concept throughout K-5 mathematics. Come explore the power of teaching equality in a way that will impact student thinking and support future learning. We will also look at the ways that students are expected to interact with equality in different grade levels.
