NC State's College of Education offers the best of both worlds: An intimate program in a large, sophisticated university.With more than 33,000 students, NC State is the largest institution in the University of North Carolina system. Yet the College of Education student-faculty ratio is around 15-to-1, which allows you to enjoy extensive interaction with your professors and develop your skills and abilities to their highest potential.

The College is divided into four academic departments: Curriculum & Instruction (including Counselor Education); Elementary Education; Educational Leadership & Policy Studies and Adult & Higher Education; and Mathematics, Science and Technology Education.

Students enrolled in the College of Education have higher SAT scores than the statewide and national averages for education students, and the grade point average of our incoming students is among the highest on campus. Most importantly, our student body is a rich, multicultural mix and our percentage of students of color is one of the largest of any college on campus.
