Wolf TRAC

A program for instructional assistants in the Wake County Public School System to earn their teaching licensure and master's.

Take the next step in building a career that makes a difference through the Wolf Teacher Registered Apprenticeship Career (TRAC) program. Earn both your teaching license and master’s degree from NC State as part of a special cohort for instructional assistants in one of three content areas: elementary education, multilingual education and special education.

Through a collaboration between NC State’s College of Education and the Wake County Public School System (WCPSS), instructional assistants who are currently employed in a WCPSS school and have a bachelor’s degree can earn both a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) and a teaching license while continuing their employment in the school district.
