NSF FINDERS Foundry
NSF has recently published a novel program called FINDERS Foundry which aims to support “collaboration among K-12 educators, technologists, and researchers to develop innovative solutions to persistent challenges in learning and workforce development. These challenges are identified by K-12 students, families, and educators. The program aims to create and scale evidence-based practices, tools, and technologies that improve learning outcomes and prepare students for a digital, Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven future.”
The program includes two stages: planning grant and development grant. Only those who receive a planning award will be eligible to submit a development proposal. There is no LOI required. There is a requirement for who must be on the team (see solicitation here).
WEBINAR: The program is holding a webinar on Wednesday, April 8th at 5 p.m. ET to provide a more robust overview and answer questions from the community. You can sign up to attend here. If you cannot attend the webinar, a recording will be posted on the program landing page (here) after the meeting.
TEAMING DASHBOARD: If you are an educator, technologist, educational researcher, or caregiver/guardian and wish to find partners to team with for this program please reach out using the “contact” link on the FINDERS FOUNDRY dashboard here.
SURVEY TO SHARE YOUR IDEAS: If you are an educator and would like to contribute a potential topic to the existing dashboard, please complete the survey here.
If you have any questions, please first review the solicitation and associated documentation (above) and then reach out to the programmatic email.
Thank you for your service to the foundation and support of the future of scientific innovation!
