We Teach

We Teach allows College of Education students to immerse themselves into communities and schools across rural areas in North Carolina through both the We Teach for NC Alternative Spring Break and the We Teach Weekends programs. Whether participating over a spring break or for a weekend, students engage in similarly impactful experiences that allow them to learn about the cultural, socio-economic and educational patterns unique to the communities they visit.

My Student Experience: We Teach for NC Trips Immerse Students in Education Across North Carolina

Where do you want to teach? With 115 school districts stretched across North Carolina, it’s not always an easy question for future educators to answer. That’s why the College of Education offers We Teach for NC trips, which allow students to experience education all over the state.

My Student Experience: College of Education Students Explore Educational Opportunities in Eastern North Carolina on We Teach for NC Spring Break

A group of College of Education students had an opportunity to explore schools in Lenoir and Perquimans counties as part of the We Teach for NC Spring Break. On the trip, they visited classrooms, spoke with administrators and had an opportunity to learn more about the opportunities available to teachers and students in eastern North Carolina.
