Jenn Hensley

Jenn is responsible for endowment management, stewardship and Alumni Relations of the College of Education Development Office. She works closely with the Scholarship Committee on annual college awards. As the Development Office’s liaison to the NC State Foundation, Advancement Services, and Alumni Engagement for the College of Education, Jenn oversees gift processing, documentation, reporting and communications with other University Advancement departments across campus. Jenn is from Raleigh, NC. She earned her degree at the University of North Carolina Asheville. Both of Jenn’s parents also worked for NC State; Her father, Dr. Don Mershon, as a professor in the Psychology Department for 39 years, and her mother, Loretta Mershon, as a librarian at D.H. Hill Library before retiring from NC Central University’s Law Library. Jenn and her husband, John, live in Raleigh with their daughters, Amelia and Piper, and their cats, Demi and Elizabeth. John is a social studies teacher at SouthEast Raleigh High School, and he is an alumnus and current PhD candidate in the College of Education.
