Bio

Destiny Faison is the Administrative Assistant for the Student Success and Advising Center at the College of Education. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Birth through Kindergarten Education at Winston-Salem State University, and a Certificate in Early Childhood Administration at Durham Technical Community College. Destiny brings four years of personal teaching experience to the SSAC as a former Kindergarten teacher, including one year of serving as a Kindergarten teacher leader and Sylvan learning tutor leader.  Additionally, she has served as a receptionist and data manager assistant within the Wake County Public School System as well as a student services assistant within the Bertie County Schools System. Alongside Destiny’s work experience in Education, she also brings over 20 years of superb customer service experience within various career industries including years of office management experience. In the near future, Destiny plans to pursue a Master’s Degree in School Counseling and a Doctorate Degree in Social Work. Destiny considers herself to be a “life-long” learner and will always be an educator “at heart”. In Destiny’s free time, she enjoys traveling to the beach, singing, cooking and spending quality time with her two daughters who are her world!
