Advancing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

The NC State College of Education’s land-grant vision is to lead the way in increasing educational opportunities for all and reducing achievement gaps. To fulfill this vision, the advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion task force seeks to confront racial injustices and build a more diverse, inclusive and supportive community — both within our college and in the field of education.

Business Office

The College of Education’s Business Office provides financial and HR services. Financial Services offers support to administrators, faculty and staff that manage funds and budgets from a variety of sources. HR strives to develop and manage value-added human resources policies and procedures, and provide expert consultation, services and solutions in an efficient and customer-focused manner.

Distance and Remote Learning Task Force

The College of Education convenes a Distance and Remote Learning Task Force that is charged with promoting quality online instruction, supporting new online academic and professional learning programs, and promoting research on distance and remote learning topics.

Educational IT (EdIT)

EdIT, under the Dean’s Office, supports and maintains the technological infrastructure of the College in coordination with appropriate campus entities.

Global Programs

The Global Programs facilitates financially accessible study abroad programs that enhance students’ global knowledge, increase cultural awareness and develop intercultural competence through intentional and meaningful global engagement.

Media, Education and Technology Resource Center (METRC)

The Media and Educational Technology Resource Center (METRC) provides resources and services to facilitate the preparation of professional educators, counselors and administrators at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and to model an exemplary school library media center.

Marketing and Communication

The marketing and communication (marcom) team champions the College of Education and the field of education, and advances the college’s mission and strategic priorities by polishing its brand on a daily basis. To carry out this role (and ensure our college adheres to the NC State brand), we provide a variety of services related to brand identity management, design, writing and multimedia storytelling to support the college’s faculty, staff, programs and initiatives.

Student Success and Strategic Community Engagement

The Student Success and Strategic Community Engagement team is composed of student-centered professionals, dedicated to the holistic wellness and success of the students within the NC State College of Education. In addition, the team supports the land-grant mission of the institution through its commitment to serving the citizens of North Carolina through dynamic community outreach initiatives.
