Things You Should Know
Data Security and Privacy
Protecting the integrity and privacy of your work-related data is an important responsibility of all University employees. Whether the data are student grades or human subject data, the University has a well-defined framework to help you determine where data may be stored. For example, Dropbox is not FERPAA compliant and thus can not be used for storing student grades.
Below are links to University information on data classification and security. If you have any questions about backing up your data and where data can be stored, please contact the help desk at ced_help@ncsu.edu
