We are pleased that you are considering our graduate programs in the Department of Leadership, Policy and Adult and Higher Education.  Our online application process has an easy access single portal, ApplyYourself (http://www.ncsu.edu/grad/applygrad.htm), through which you must submit all application materials.  Please note, if you are applying for the MSA or Ed.D. in Educational Administration and Supervision programs there are additional requirements that can be found under the first block of information below.  Should you have questions about your application or any of our graduate programs please contact the respective program coordinator.

Required Application Materials-through ApplyYourself only.  Hard copies will not be accepted. 


  • Personal statement (1-2 pages) that describes your career experiences, future personal goals, and how a degree in the desired discipline will affect your career goals (uploaded in ApplyYourself)
  • Your professional résumé (uploaded in ApplyYourself)
  • Transcripts from all institutions attended except NC State University. Unofficial transcripts are to be uploaded into ApplyYourself.  If admitted, official transcripts must be sent to the Graduate School before admission is confirmed. Please DO NOT send any transcripts to the department.  The Graduate School receives all application materials.
  • Three recommendations from persons who can attest to your scholarly aptitude and motivation. (All must be submitted through “ApplyYourself”).

Additional Program Requirements: (only MSA and Ed.D. in EAS)

MSA

  • 4 years teaching experience in a K-12 environment
  • One recommendation must be from current supervisor


Ed.D.-Educational Administration & Supervision

  • North Carolina Principal's license or be eligible to receive one
  • One recommendation must be from current supervisor
