PD 741 – Visiting Scholar Lecture: Education in Turkey

Join us in welcoming visiting College of Education scholar Dr. Cigdem SAHIN TASKIN, Professor at the Faculty of Education, Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Turkey. Dr. Sahin Taskin has a particular research interest in students’ social-emotional learning as well as teachers’ and pre-service teachers’ beliefs and curriculum and instruction.
The presentation will provide an overview of the education system in general as well as teacher education in Turkey. She will also talk about her recent research, including the Erasmus+ project she is coordinating and the project carried out at NC State on social-emotional learning.
