PD 6782 – Board games in Teaching

September 5 | 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

This PGU is open to all College of Education students. Research has shown that the competitive aspect of board games has an impact on student learning and motivation. Gamification class activities help students engage in learning and enhance their problem-solving, critical thinking, and social communication skills. Attendees will play the games, and then consider ways to use them in the classroom. This session will discuss how to integrate these activities into different-level classrooms, especially elementary classes. After the session, participants will have actionable strategies to implement board game usage in their teaching.
