PD 668 – Family Literacy at Marbles!
October 10, 2017 | 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
This is a two-part opportunity. Students interested in family engagement and early literacy will have the opportunity to plan and facilitate family literacy events at Marbles Kids Museum. The first part will be a meeting on October 10th at Marbles, to learn from their outreach staff about the great community programs aimed at preparing children for school. Students will help plan several hands-on literacy activities and “stations” for a Literacy Day on Saturday, February 2nd at the museum. On February 2nd, students will implement the literacy activities with museum visitors from 11 am – 1 pm. Students have to attend both sessions to get the credits.
