PD 6671 – Discussion of Implications of Poverty in the Classroom

Join Dr. Whitney White and NC State Teaching Fellows in a discussion of how poverty impacts students in the classroom. We will discuss terms such as poverty, equity, trauma, as well as real-world scenarios you may face as a classroom teacher. Our discussion will lead to resources available for teachers, what to look out for in your classroom, and what to do when you are faced with difficult situations as a teacher.
