Developing a culturally responsive curriculum is the first step in creating an inclusive classroom, but educators must also understand how to engage students in the curriculum. Asking students to engage in discussions regarding their education, learning opportunities, and goals almost always leads to deeper insights, greater equity, and improvements to approaches.
In our second session of the Dudley Flood Center Student Voices Series, we will hear directly from students and leaders from schools across North Carolina that focus on empowering learners through their pedagogy and learning opportunities.
