PD 6650 – Public School Forum Series

January 21, 2021 | 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

So often, we engage in discussions about education without including students, our primary stakeholders. That is why we are thrilled to announce the Dudley Flood Center Student Voices Series. In this series of webinars, we will discuss educational equity and opportunity. Our discussions will feature student voices and ideas. Each month, starting on January 21st, we will host a 1.5-hour webinar session dedicated to the following topics:

* Culturally Responsive Curriculum
* Critical Conversations and Deeper Learning
* Increasing Diversity in STEM
* Student Views on Equitable Access to Educational Opportunities
Please join us for our inaugural Student Voices Webinar: “What Does Culturally Responsive Curriculum Mean to Our Students?” on January 21st at 3:00 pm est.
We recognize that a culturally-responsive curriculum is an important aspect of ensuring equity and meeting the needs of all of our students. This session will focus on the student perspective on what is and is not included in their curriculum and learning opportunities and the effect it has on their academic and personal development. This session will also feature a discussion with current educators on how to implement a culturally -responsive curriculum in the classroom.
