PD 561 – Educating for Cultural Change: Approaches to Islam & Muslims through Film

Inspiring students and helping them understand the forces that shape our world is what teachers do every day. Unity Productions Foundation can help teachers reach their goals with lesson plans, guides, and resources. Teachers are invited to join thousands of American social studies teachers by showing UPF’s documentary films in their classroom. Participants will be informed about UPF’s goal & mission. All participants will be provided with UPF’s accessible free resources for their classrooms.
The first workshop will be designated for pre-service teachers who are interested in educating for cultural change through films and resources for their future classrooms. It will be held on Feb 20th, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
The second workshop will be designated for in-service teachers who are interested in using these resources and films in their classrooms. It will be held on Feb 20th, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
