✨ “This trip was transformative.”

✈️ Josh Webb is one of eight Transformational Scholars who went to Costa Rica this summer. For two weeks, he took intensive Spanish classes, engaged with local preschools and service programs, and immersed himself in Costa Rican culture through homestay experiences, dance classes and rainforest excursions.

❤️ For Josh, this experience deepened his appreciation for other cultures. “It enhanced my language skills and cultural competence and inspired me to incorporate global perspectives into my teaching,” the middle grades English language arts and social studies education major said. “As a future educator in eastern North Carolina, I am committed to fostering an inclusive and dynamic learning environment, drawing on the lessons and experiences from this incredible journey.”

🇨🇷 Thank you for creating this reel and sharing your experience with us, Josh. And thank you to the Anonymous Trust for funding Transformational Scholars' first international trip. Pura vida!
