PD 6653 – Let’s Doctor it Up! The DRJD Strategy: A Strategic Guide to Developing Critical Thinking Skills While Living with ACES

February 17, 2021 | 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

As educators, we have been charged with growing students from all walks of life. As they enter the learning environment, they bring various degrees of life experience, as do we as educators. Sometimes these experiences are the result of ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences). If these experiences are ignored, they have the potential to impede the development of critical learning components, including the building of relationships and the development of critical thinking skills. But if we embrace these experiences as a part of the whole, we can use them to enhance the learning process. Journey with me as we dive into the minds of those living with ACEs and the role these experiences play in the development of critical thinking skills.
