EdTalks: A Celebration of K-12 Education
Local leaders and celebrities delivered short TED-style talks about the importance of K-12 education and how their classroom experiences impacted their lives during the NC State College of Education’s first EdTalks Monday, Oct. 21, 2019. We also celebrated alumni who had received national, state and district-wide awards in 2018-19 for their work in K-12 schools.

Meet the Alumni We’ll Honor
Our alumni had a banner year in 2018-19. They won the National School Psychologist of the Year, the N.C. Principal of the Year, the N.C. History Teacher of the Year and the N.C. Charter School Teacher of the Year, in addition to several district-wide awards. We’ll celebrate and recognize them during our inaugural EdTalks Oct. 21.
