How to Support the College During COVID-19
Here are two ways you can support the NC State College of Education and its students, initiatives and programs during COVID-19:
1. Make a gift to the College of Education’s Excellence Fund.
The college remains open and is working closely, though remotely, with students, educators and partners to continue to advance our mission to prepare extraordinary educators, solve educational problems, and champion the educational success of all. As we advance our mission, we continue to have needs associated with the areas that the College of Education’s Excellence Fund covers: scholarships, student experiences, equity initiatives, and educational innovation. Gifts to the Excellence Fund will allow College of Education Dean Mary Ann Danowitz to direct support to the areas where it will have the greatest and most immediate impact.
2. Stay engaged.
Our faculty and staff are working to provide and pull together additional resources for professional educators that address today’s evolving situation, including the move to remote learning. You can sign up for free, online professional development courses offered through the Friday Institute for Educational Innovation, which is part of the College of Education, or view tips about backyard activities to do with kids, providing exceptional educational opportunities with online formats and how to address the homework gap and digital divide. Stay informed and connected by following us on Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn and sign up to receive our weekly updates.
