Bio

Erica Whitesock is a graduate student in the MAT program at NC State. Upon graduation, she hopes to teach science to high school students. When she is not attending class or studying; she enjoys spending time with her children and husband, participating in outdoor activities, and volunteering at her local cat shelter.

Why NC State?

I choose to pursue graduate education at NC State because they offered my chosen degree through a distance education program. This was important to me because I needed a program that was flexible and one that I could fit into my busy schedule. 

One insight gained so far…

I think NC State works hard to create an educational environment in which all students, not only feel welcome but a part of a large extended family. I have had only positive experiences since I have been at NC State.
