Why did you choose the NC State College of Education?

I chose the NC State College of Education because it has the graphic communications concentration.

Why did you choose your major?

I have always enjoyed designing and building things since I was a kid, and graphic communications has the manufacturing and design classes that fit that.

What’s your next step? What do you have planned after graduation?

I plan to take a break from school and work on building personal designs.

How has the College of Education prepared you for what’s next?

It helped me to be proficient with a variety of design software to be able to take my ideas and get them produced.

What do you hope to accomplish in your field?

I would like to design and manufacture gym equipment.

Do you have a favorite memory from your time in the College of Education?

In TDE 110: Materials & Processes Technology, being able to go in and start designing and building the class projects, things that I actually wanted to build and use. I was able to make a couple signs I still have hung up.

Tell us about an experience you had with the College of Education that had the biggest impact on you or your career.

When my apartment burned down in 2021, I received a lot of support from the College of Education and all of my professors. It helped to make that time a lot easier for me to go through.

Why did you choose education?

Being a teaching assistant for GC 120: Foundations of Graphics, I have found that I enjoy helping people learn topics that I have experience with.
