Professor Audrey Jaeger Named North Carolina SMT Champion

NC State College of Education Professor Audrey Jaeger received the 2018 SMT Champion Award from the North Carolina Science, Mathematics, and Technology Education Center. The award recognizes an individual who provides extraordinary support of science, mathematics, and technology education in North Carolina.

Jaeger received a nomination for the award because of her volunteer efforts with the Science Olympiad. After volunteering as a parent, she decided to coach a team and found a way to connect STEM Education majors from NC State College of Education with the students on her team.

Jaeger is a professor of Higher Education and an Alumni Distinguished Graduate Professor Department of Educational Leadership, Policy and Human Development. In addition, she serves as the executive director for the National Initiative for Leadership & Institutional Effectiveness as well as a University Faculty Scholar.
