What can I check out from METRC?

Anyone at NC State is free to check out our books. However, all of our equipment, kits, and Makerspace items are limited to the College of Education. For a more comprehensive list of available items, please visit our Technology & Equipment, Makerspace, and Kits and Manipulatives pages.

Do you have access to eBooks?

Yes. We are partnered with Overdrive, Mackinvia, Tumblebooks, and more. All of the access instructions are on our eBook page. Please note that all eBooks are limited to the College of Education only.

Can I have an event in METRC?

Yes! Provided you meet the criteria listed in our Space Usage Policy. Please keep in mind that the space we have now in Hill Library is smaller than what we had in Poe, so we won’t be able to accommodate the same types of events as previously. Feel free to email us at cedmediacenter@ncsu.edu if you’d like to request a consultation.

Can you help me fix something/help with technology?

We are happy to help troubleshoot any technology that you’ve checked out from METRC. No appointment is necessary but please come with enough time to properly evaluate the problem. Personal item help should be directed to EdIT.

I need help with teaching/can someone help me with my class?

Yes. Most basic information can be found on our Teaching Support pages; use the links at the top of the page for your specific needs. For more complex questions, or if you can’t find the information you’re looking for, feel free to contact us directly. Email is always preferred.
