College of Education Receives CAEP 2023 Frank Murray Leadership Recognition for Continuous Improvement
NC State’s College of Education has been named a recipient of the 2023 Frank Murray Leadership Recognition for Continuous Improvement by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).
The Frank Murray Leadership Recognition is awarded to education preparation providers that demonstrate evidence and data trends to achieve CAEP accreditation with no stipulations or areas for improvement noted. Institutions selected for the recognition also advance equity and excellence in educator preparation through purposeful use of self-study procedures and evidence-based reporting that assure quality and support continuous improvement to strengthen P-12 learning.
“We are honored to be recognized by CAEP with a Frank Murray Award for Excellence in Continuous Improvement. This speaks to the dedication and hard work that our faculty and staff put into ensuring that we are preparing the highest quality of educators,” said Assistant Dean for Professional Education and Accreditation Erin Horne. “The lived experiences of educators and their students are ever-changing, and this award is a recognition that we are ensuring the educators we produce are ready for their roles in schools and have a positive impact on the lives of children.”
NC State’s College of Education prepares the most effective educators in the state of North Carolina, according to employer surveys, and more than 5,600 NC State alumni currently work in all 115 of the state’s public school districts.
The College of Education is consistently ranked among the top colleges of education in the nation and has a 100% job placement rate for graduates seeking employment in the field of education.
In the past year, the College of Education was also ranked No. 68 in the world and No. 1 in North Carolina in the education and educational research category in U.S. News & World Report’s Best Global Universities Subject Rankings and was named a STEM School of Excellence by the International Technology and Engineering Educators Association.
