Dr. Audrey Jaeger, Alumni Distinguished Graduate Professor at the NC State College of Education and executive director of the Belk Center for Community College Leadership and Research being planned, has been named a recipient of NC State’s 2019 Equity for Women Award.

Awarded by the university’s Council on the Status of Women, the Equity for Women Award recognizes faculty, staff and students for outstanding leadership in establishing equity for women at NC State.

Nominations are solicited from all members of the campus community, including faculty, staff, students, alumni and partners.

Of Jaeger, a nominee wrote:

“As a scholar, community member and leader, AJ [Jaeger] champions equity for women at NC State by creating communities of learning that are inclusive. She started a Girls in Science program at a local elementary school in hopes of encouraging more girls to get interested and stay interested in science and engineering.”
