About 20 rising high school seniors from across North Carolina gathered at NC State’s College of Education this summer to take part in the Leadership Institute for Future Teachers (LIFT), a five-day residential program for students interested in leadership development and exploring a career in education.
As part of the program, the high schoolers received mentorship from NC State College of Education students who helped guide them on their educational journeys. Hear from LIFT participants and mentors about what the week meant to them.
