My Student Experience: Leadership Institute for Future Teachers Sets Foundation for Aspiring Educators

About 20 rising high school seniors from across North Carolina gathered at NC State's College of Education this summer to take part in the Leadership Institute for Future Teachers (LIFT), a five-day residential program for students interested in leadership development and exploring a career in education.

Eighteen rising high school seniors from across North Carolina gathered at NC State University July 24-29 to take part in the College of Education's third annual Leadership Institute For Future Teachers (LIFT), where they had an opportunity to "use the voice we were born to use."

NC State College of Education Holds 2nd Annual Leadership Institute for Future Teachers (LIFT) for Rising High School Seniors of Color and Bilingual Students

The annual Leadership Institute for Future Teachers (LIFT), a five-day, invitational program that works to inspire high school seniors — particularly students of color and bilingual students — to explore careers in education and enhance their leadership skills, was held virtually, June 20-24.
