Technology and Makerspace Usage Policy

Only College of Education and Psychology students, faculty, and staff are allowed to use/check out any and all equipment and Makerspace items. As well, College of Education and Psychology students, faculty, and staff are allowed to use “consumables” – items that are used up, such as paper, glue, Cricut vinyl, 3D printing filament, etc. – in the Makerspace and otherwise, as long as it is for school or otherwise educational purposes. Personal projects cannot be sponsored by METRC resources.

This is because students in the College of Education and Psychology participate in Equipment and Technology Fees (ETF) upon their enrollment each year. These fees are used to buy equipment, technology, Makerspace items, kits, and more. Therefore, METRC prioritizes student access to equipment purchased with ETF.
