Jared Stewart-Ginsburg Joining College of Education as Assistant Teaching Professor in Special Education

Jared Stewart-Ginsburg

Jared Stewart-Ginsburg will join NC State’s College of Education as an assistant teaching professor in special education beginning July 15.

Currently, he is an assistant professor in the School of Education at Francis Marion University and previously served as a classroom teacher in Florida and family resource coordinator supporting parents raising children with disabilities in North Carolina. In both roles, he realized the difference effective preparation can make in teachers’ competence and confidence. He earned his Ph.D. in special education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

With a passion for preparing effective, equitable teachers to support students with disabilities and their families, Stewart-Ginsburg said his role at NC State will allow him to prepare effective educators through courses, mentorship, program development and collaboration with faculty, staff and school districts.

“I am excited about the opportunity to prepare and support students so they can become extraordinary educators,” he said. “The interdisciplinary nature of the College of Education provides many opportunities to collaborate with our outstanding faculty and staff and find ways to equip all teachers to support all students.”
