Jamie Bush will join NC State’s College of Education as the senior director for student success and graduate student support, effective July 7, 2025. She most recently served as a student success consultant for a nonprofit organization specializing in research to enhance enrollment management practices, student retention and academic support programs for higher education institutions across the nation.
“I look forward to partnering with faculty and staff to create comprehensive support systems that empower every student to thrive academically and personally,” said Bush, adding she was “thrilled” to be joining the College of Education.
Bush earned a Doctor of Public Administration from Valdosta State University, an MBA from Nova Southeastern University and a master’s in nonprofit management from the University of Central Florida. She has more than 17 years of experience as a higher education administrator, holding previous leadership positions at the University of South Carolina, University of Houston and University of Central Florida.

In previous roles, she has also developed and implemented interventions that significantly improved student retention rates, reduced achievement gaps and enhanced the overall student experience.
