Brady L. Nash Joining College of Education as Assistant Professor of Middle Grades English Language Arts Education

Brady L. Nash will join NC State’s College of Education as an assistant professor of middle grades English language arts education beginning Aug. 15, 2025. He has previously taught at the University of Florida and Miami University of Ohio.
“I am excited to collaborate, serve, research and teach with an amazing community of scholars, graduate students and undergraduate students in the Department of Teacher Education and Learning Sciences,” Nash said.
Nash earned his Ph.D. in language and literacy studies at the University of Texas at Austin and holds degrees from Columbia University’s Teachers College, Long Island University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Nash is a former English teacher, professional learning specialist and student advisor, and works closely with K-12 teachers and students on collaborative classroom research.
He studies critical and culturally sustaining approaches to education, with a focus on secondary language arts and digital literacies. His current line of work focuses on critically analyzing artificial intelligence, video games and social media, and the ways that different people construct and understand reality in digital spaces.
