Catie Burnette ‘17MSA Celebrated as 2019-2020 Wake County Assistant Principal of the Year

Hilburn Academy has a tradition — whenever they celebrate a member of the school community, students line the long hallway and cheer on the honoree.

When Assistant Principal Catie Burnette ‘17MSA was named the 2019-2020 Wake County Assistant Principal of the Year last fall, she got to experience the celebration for herself.

“It was just a great experience — really fun, really exciting,” Burnette said.

Burnette went into administration with the goal of building a positive school culture, and during her celebration that school culture was on full display.
