Community Counseling, Education, and Research Center (CCERC) Takes a Holistic Approach to Community Engagement

Graduate students from the NC State College of Education's counselor education program provide mental health services to the Wake County community through the Community Counseling, Education, and Research Center (CCERC). Students serve individuals older than 14 in areas like anxiety, depression and relationships. Love is a core principle for CCERC.

Sharon Loza, who is pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, Policy and Human Development with a program area of study in educational evaluation and policy analysis, was interviewed by EdNC about increasing services for North Carolina children with special needs.
