Paper Co-authored by College of Education Faculty, Presented by Doctoral Student Daniela Barriga Wins 1st Place Award at International Conference on School Choice and Reform

Daniela Barriga, a second-year doctoral student, was initially nervous about presenting a paper she co-authored with several College of Education members at the International Conference on School Choice and Reform, but the paper ultimately won the first place prize and will soon be published in a special edition of the Journal of School Choice.

Associate Professor Cameron Denson and Teaching Assistant Mwenda Kudumu wanted to develop a way to engage students in class discussions without using online forums. They developed a model that will now be shared online through the “Critical Conversations” video podcast.
