These are just some of the 144 new alumni the NC State College of Education celebrated during its December 2024 Graduation Ceremony on Dec. 13 in Reynolds Coliseum.

In her time at NC State, Adeleigh Graham has served as president of university’s Technology and Engineering Education Collegiate Association, and she is looking forward to sharing the skills and knowledge she has gained in the classroom.

Mariah Walker ’06 ’10MED, ’12MSA, 24EDD has worked for the Wake County Public School System as a teacher, assistant principal and principal, and currently serves as the principal of the Wake Young Women’s Leadership Academy, the only single-gender girls public high school in North Carolina. As she prepares to graduate with a doctoral degree in educational leadership, she’s charging the Class of 2024 to remember the power they possess to ignite change.

N.C. Teaching Fellow Lara-Cate Wright ’24 has fond memories of the relationships she built with her teachers as an elementary school student; so much so that she was inspired to return to her community in Dare County and become an elementary school teacher herself.
