Congrats, December 2024 Graduates!

 

The president of NC State’s Technology and Engineering Education Collegiate Association. A researcher using virtual reality to enrich learning. Devoted school leaders and passionate future teachers. These are just some of the 144 new alumni the NC State College of Education celebrated during its December 2024 Graduation Ceremony on Dec. 13 in Reynolds Coliseum.

Mariah Walker ’06 ’10MED, ’12MSA, 24EDD has worked for the Wake County Public School System as a teacher, assistant principal and principal, and currently serves as the principal of the Wake Young Women’s Leadership Academy, the only single-gender girls public high school in North Carolina. As she prepares to graduate with a doctoral degree in educational leadership, she’s charging the Class of 2024 to remember the power they possess to ignite change.
